maj11 Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 We have a set of around 60 pupil and 20 staff iPads, all of which were supervised using AC, and then enrolled in Meraki, which we use to push out all free and paid apps. Each device has its own Apple ID. We aren't eligible for DEP, so that isn't an option. We've been reasonably happy with Meraki, but have found that on occasion we get prompted for passwords on each device, but now that the majority of the features need to be paid for, we need to move to a cheaper option. I've acquired quotes from all of the MDMs lsited on Apple's website, and the two most affordable are LightSpeed (which was also recommended by another school) and ZuluDesk (slightly more expensive.) Does anyone have strong recommendations for one over the other? The iPads are several generations old, and I suspect that they can't be updated to iOS 11, so having the latest features isn't necessarily the highest priority. In no particular order the priorities would be: * value for money * consistently pushing out paid and free apps with zero users interaction with individual devices * full control of restrictions, such as disabling iMessage I would welcome any feedback, as I'm not sure where to go from here. Thanks!
snagrat Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 ZuluDesk Support latest MDM updates on day one. Lightspeed to not always. I think when it was iOS 9.3 Lightspeed took a good 6 month to support the features. I use ZuluDesk at a lot of schools now and Lightspeed at 1. ZuluDesk is much better
