Decent screen mirroring software?

Is there any decent screen sharing software where the software is installed on a tutor PC in a classroom, load it up and "mirror" the screen to all students PC within the classroom.

 

I've tried a few software but all of them go via the Internet, which is something we don't want as there is a noticeable 'lag' and a security risk. Would prefer for it to be internally.

 

I've looked at LanSchool and while it's perfect, it's out of their budget, sadly.

 

Is there a similar tool that can do it. Bonus if it's cheap or freeware!

I was going to suggest iTALC but it looks like it's been forked. The successor project is Veyon

 

I've not used iTALC in about three years but it worked, kind of, back then. We ended up replacing it with AB Tutor. However, Veyon appears to be considerably newer so hopefully it's been improved considerably since I looked at it last.

We've used ABTutor and Netsupport School, both are good. ABTutor is a bit cheaper to license if it's a limited number of people using it. If it's all staff (laptop installs), Netsupport becomes cheaper.

previous school used RM Tutor but my current college uses Netop Vision for this:

It's GPL so I suspect always. I don't think that GPL software can legally be sold.

 

Now, it's entirely possible that they might start doing a community version and a commercial version with extra features and support bolted on top of the GPL code but the core has to remain free.

Installed and had a play with RM Tutor today. It looks like it will do all we need it to. Can't vouch for it's use on a vanilla network nor can I comment on any of the other options mentioned above

RM Tutor is a OEM version of NetSupport. NetSupport will work on more or less anything, I don't know how deeply Tutor is tied into CC4 however.
