[sims] Parent App and sending messages

Hi all,

 

does anyone know if you are able to send messages out to parents/student through SIMS to the apps? I'm not referring to the automated messages that go out with lateness etc. Say a blanket message about a school performance or something.

At present it's only sending system generated messages. Broadcasting is being built now.

That's great, and thanks for getting back Phil. Any idea what sort of time frame we could be looking at? Is it something that could be viable for the September start?

More like Jan I think. The whole comms engine is being upgraded.

Does anyone happen to know where the template is for the e-mail that goes out to parents when inviting them to use the app? I'm trying to change the school name in the email as it is wrong but it's showing correctly in SIMS school details. I've logged a call with our support provider who are also struggling to find it.

Hi Phil

Will this replace InTouch or InTouch will satay as separate product. Because now we have to pay for two products for communication comparing with other suppliers schoolrooms etc have one product for everything.

@ICT_Pro I'm no longer looking after strategy at Capita so quite hard for me to comment now. I think you can expect a convergence into fewer products - InTouch does email/txt where as the Parent/Student App has been extended to include notifications.
