Classifcations and ..... ?

What different classifactions of IT people do you get ie nerds, geeks , etc etc ?

 

Also does that make us all geeks ( considering we are apart of edu geek ) ?

 

My mind wondered off for a bit there lol

I can touch type in my own fashion, I have a website and I own 4 computers therefore I must be a geek (according to everyone I know!!)

 

And oh yeah...I fix other people's computers :-|

 

Main classification according to the ITCrowd... "Standard Nerds" but i prefer geek.

oh yeah that reminds me, where can I go to download the "IT Crowd" series or sit com or w/e the feck you call it. Just I dont have any access to the telly when it airs so I obviously cant watch it cos of kids and parents blah lol.

 

After saturday I will own 2 computers, a nano and Fixed my step dads laptop and helped with fixing another computer for the kids.

 

Never really had anyone ask me to help with fixing computers yet lol.

I'm a self-confessed geek, and proud of it

 

I usually carry phone/PDA around with me, I enjoy being on the computer and internet, could say I'm addicted to it Do loads of work on projects at home, sometimes for work stuff. Home network of 6 computers, 2 of which are servers. But this is all mainly due to the lack of constraints (such as a family of my own)

Ok, where do I start, i have got about 6 PCs of my own, 2 servers, 2 laptops, a smartphone / pda (XDA2), standard mobile (t610), Sat Nav, Internet Addict, live on my PC, get up at 7am, using the PC by 8:10am, then not off one for much time (appart from lunch, tea etc) till normally 1am.

wimp up at 6 on it at 6:35 ussaly start it up to get my pda sync started...

 

As for computers we have four computers,one laptop, one pda, one mobile, one mp3

Mac Mini, 2x iPod Videos, 1 Apricot Xen DX2/66 (still working!) a dead Acer laptop, my sisters old P100 custom waiting to be fixed in my spare room, PS2, XBox, Gamecube, HP VP6121 projector for a monitor/TV, Harmon Kardon AVR 130 running a pair of B&W DM601 S3s, LCR60 center and an ASW600 sub for sound, Samsung D600 mobile, crappy NEC Versa C160 works laptop (soon to be replaced by a Dell D610 mmm) and planning on getting me and the missus an ibook this year.

 

What can i say, i like my toys lol
