6Foot2 Posted October 7, 2017 Author Posted October 7, 2017 Link: E-Petition: Update the UK Traffic Signs Regulations to a geometrically correct football The football shown on UK street signs (for football grounds) is made entirely of hexagons. But it is mathematically impossible to construct a ball using only hexagons. Changing this to the correct pattern of hexagons and pentagons would help raise public awareness and appreciation of geometry... This is obviously what the government should be spending their time on, not important matters of the day like the 1% pay rise cap, Brexit etc.

Have you no heart ...? 😉🙄😄

Oddbod Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 Advance warning that warns of a footpath ahead is closed… 1
DJ-1701 Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Taken from Google, as they have got around to replacing the sign this year. Appears to suggest the sign maker can't be bothered... In fact that should read ETC in capitals or the actual name it's pointing towards... the 'Equality Trade Centre'... 1
6Foot2 Posted January 2, 2018 Author Posted January 2, 2018 Seems a bit public. I can wait, thanks. 3

mikeprice Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 Took this several years ago when I lived in Llandudno - it is on the way out of a local posh hotel Very informative and accurate actually 2
mikeprice Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 efficent - but rather insensitive (another one from near Llandudno several years ago) 2

Oaktech Posted June 29, 2018 Posted June 29, 2018 Not seen this one in the list... Local to me... What could possibly go wrong. Tanks, Monkeys, Militatry Base, and an experimental nuclear facility at Winfrith near Wool. 2
Oaktech Posted June 29, 2018 Posted June 29, 2018 From one of my friends... Obviously, this means Do not follow sat nav, left turn not suitable for HGV. Obviously. 1
Andrew_C Posted June 29, 2018 Posted June 29, 2018 If you take your HGV around the corner, you will be abducted by aliens, with all that entails? 2
Andrew_C Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 OK, so there are some roadworks. But to close a bus stop only to put a temporary one in not 2m up the road? Presumably someone got paid for that bit of thinking. 3
