I use brother for all my black laser printers.

We tend to put out the HL5270N for smaller rooms, and the HL7050N for the larger use rooms, according to the toner box for the 7050, it does 12,000 pages, and I guess the drum should do twice that.

We get them from Welcome to Think4 IT Solutions (talk to Alison), they're around the £580 mark.

For colour I have been converted to Oki, we have a couple of the C9650's...

I could be being fussy now... but 12k pages will mean I'll have to replace the toner every month

I found a printer yesterday that took a 32k page toner... now that's the kinda thing I'm looking for!! :)

Sorry to be so picky... I gotta get it right this time!

I'll have to have a look at my history on my machine downstairs... get back to you in 10... it was an extra high capacity toner!

hi folks. our laser printer has just been confirmed BER (beyond econimical repair) so we need a new one quickly. we have always used HP2600n and found them very reliable and pretty damm good basically. just wondering what others use and recommend anything different?? by the way they are about £150-£180.

Have a look on ebuyer for the 2600n, i think they have them at £133 ish. We have a couple of samsung CPL-300n and they seem ok to me.

{deity} no! Not the HP 2600n... If you're going to, get a higher end one but not the cheapest of the bunch!

Sorry but those things are consumable eaters!

For colour you can't beat the oki 5900n!

Most of our smaller printers and colours are Oki!

We also have an Oki MFP banner printer which is fantastic!

Hmm... think I'll add that one to my comparison spreadsheet... does seem to have a lot of consumables to worry about though.

all the drums are £35 which isn't too bad. I hate printers with loads of stuff like that, but this one makes up for it by never jamming or anything!
