Looks like someone at EE has unplugged something they shouldn't have :p

Everyone else having issues? Looks like it might be the whole country by the looks of their twitter account.

The ONLY thing that works for me on EE at the moment is Facebook, weirdly.

EE have acknowledged the issue now and raised a Priority 1 Incident.

Some things seem to be working, I can access Facebook and keep getting the odd email alert, but not all of them. No other apps are working though.

On a separate note - do the Virtual Network Operators get exactly the same service signal/data speed as being directly on the provider. I'm currently on EE (which is pretty good everywhere I want it) but can get a much cheaper SIM only deal with other providers who use the EE infrastructure

Apologies for hijacking the thread

On EE here and web pages aren't loading, shows as having 4G, just thought it was due to my office as it can be hit and miss, but not this bad.

I imagine the speeds would be limited to 60Mbps like the lower EE packages, I wouldn't see them offering their fastest speed to the MVNOs.

Sorry - only checked signal and phone on VM. Data no good atm.

I believe so, but only subject to current MVNO advertising. e.g. VM have only recently offered Consumer level 4G. However, when Mme LeMarchand worked for a telecoms place there was a distinct "pecking order" when there was a fault - direct customers got sorted first, then they worried about subsidiary coverage.

I've got data back on my mobile, but can't tether anything - can anyone else that's been affected see if they can tether? (the hotspot activates, and devices can connect, just no internet).

I can only access Facebook too! Accessing it via chrome. Texts are fine. cant use any apps that connect to data

Tethering works for me at the moment.

The service checker page is back to normal now. I guess they have repaired whatever the issue was.

And not said a word about what caused it!
