Gmail SMTP settings

Has anyone got SMTP settings working in HAP with a google SMTP server?

 

If so could you paste the line from the hapconfig file?

 

Mine doesn't work but currently reads

You may find gmail blocking email from some servers what it regards as unsafe I think. I had this problem with PostFix at home. It is easy fix and jus needs enabling on the gmail account if it is that.

Is that the option under Google Admin - G Suite - Settings for GMail - Advanced Settings

Not too sure about that, don't use the G suite, could try looking at both.

From memory you have to allow less secure apps in the settings for gmail, then log in to the account you are authing with and turn it on there too. If it has attempted an insecure auth then you will get a prompt when you log in, think it sends you an email too
