BKGarry Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 Dear All, Myself and @X-13 have been discussing the idea of having a grand (south eastern) edugeek day out. We have been looking around and the idea has come up to do a day out to Southend sometime from May (purely due to the fact I can get a boat to Southend in Peak Season rather than train into london and out again). This would be a nice day out with rides, fish and chips and general fun bits to do. Think of it like that Only Fools and Horses episode but without the Exploding coach (or Margate) Let us know what you think and we can start throwing dates around. 1
elsiegee40 Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 Can I join you on the boat trip? Sounds like fun!

Bedders Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Would love to attend one of these, but unfortunately it's a 4 hour drive or train ride away... Quicker to fly from Manchester Airport!
TwistedHelixis Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 I will make the journey if date fits. Will need to negotiate Dartford tunnel which I hate.
djm968 Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 I might be up for this depending on the date, its a 30min ride for me!

Edubytes are pop up events all over the country. You need no permission. If there's no sign of one near you then organise it. "I'm in x. Does anyone in the area fancy meeting for beverage/ food/ arcade/ other entertainment?" That's how it all started 3
LincolnE Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 Let me know when and where, I'll defiantly pop down for this 1
BKGarry Posted March 31, 2017 Author Posted March 31, 2017 I am thinking June time, after EDIT it out of the way. Anyone got any preference on dates?

X-13 Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 Someone was deffo using their mobile when they wrote this. Nah, he just knew about our "no Lincolns allowed" rule. 2
BKGarry Posted April 25, 2017 Author Posted April 25, 2017 Well I have been really bad at organising this. In my defense I have been running various DofE weekend and training sessions I was thinking a Sunday in June, I am currently free most of June weekends, so does anyone have any preferences?
elsiegee40 Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 June is difficult for me. I should be able to do 25th
BKGarry Posted April 25, 2017 Author Posted April 25, 2017 If June is bad, we can always look in July or make it a summer hols outing :-)
Stormborn15 Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 June is bad for me too :-/ - July / August might work better?
elsiegee40 Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 If June is bad, we can always look in July or make it a summer hols outing :-) I think you'd better fix a date and I'll come if I can. I just looked at my diary
