Anyone using Skype for Business as a full phone system with handsets and PSTN access? Wouldn't mind hearing your config and experiences :D Currently researching into replacing our aging phone system. (not voip as present) but have been enjoying the Skype4Biz IM and Voice/Video failices so extending this into a fully blown system with Exchange integration does seem logical.

Hi Rob.

We are using S4B as a full system and have been using since 2012. We started with Lync 2010 then migrated to S4B last summer.

In terms of handsets, we use a mix of the polycom CX500/600/3000 and the VVX 400. The VVX was a little more difficult to set up but not too bad once I found some set up guides online.

For PSTN we are using gamma sip trunks terminating directly on the mediation server. We used to use ISDN30 with a gateway but moved to gamma to save on costs.

Our on prem installation integrates with exchange online for voicemail and autoattendant.

Hi Andrew,

Register for your place on our Skype for Business All Day Workshop, choose from one of 5 city locations on 5 different dates.

Do you have an aging PBX that is approaching EOL or End of Support?

Are you looking to drive a more collaborative workforce? Is flexibility or mobility a business driver?

Are you interested in what Cloud options are available to you?

Join us for a one day workshop to learn more and leave with a greater understanding of what Skype for Business can offer your organisation. You will learn about:

The real business value of Skype for Business

Online Meetings, Meeting Broadcast and Room System options

We will also demonstrate how PSTN Conferencing and Calling can be activated and where possible we will enable it on your own Office 365 tenant. Using the capabilities really enable you to appreciate it's power and simplicity.

The workshop will be interactive, with demonstrations, and the opportunity to experience Skype for Business in-person. Skype for Business experts from Microsoft and our Partners will be on hand to answer any specific questions you may have and discuss future roadmap items.

We look forward to seeing you at the event.

i would be interested to see the pricing. Looking at 365 subscriptions, its £2.70 per user but you then need a call plan which i cant find costs for other than in $
