Video Editing for A level Students

Just wondering what video editing software other schools use for their media courses/anything else that requires video editing?

iMovie here for Media students, Windows Movie Maker at a push for other students and lower key stages.

We've been running an ancient copy of Adobe Premiere Elements for the 7/8 years, but recently purchased some Adobe CC licenses for sixth form use, so they're now using Premiere Pro which has been far more stable.

Sony Vegas (now bought out by Magix) for our Sixth Form College.

We have premier Pro as part of Adobe CC but the students prefer Vegas

Cyberlink power director as the adobe suite is too expensive for us.

iMovie on some cheap refurbished teeny tiny 10" Apple Macs we managed to find a couple of years ago!

I think we use Trakax when necessary but we don't always have people courses that require video editing. We have windows movie maker on a few computers as well.

We're using Serif MoviePlus. Have been for years, but they've recently discontinued it and abandoned all support, so we're looking for a replacement that's cheap, easy to use, powerful enough for A-Level, and works on Windows. Not an easy combination.

No, sorry, we stopped looking. Our Media dept would rather use years old Serif or Windows Movie Maker rather than switch to something "new and complicated!"
