Is there anyone who has had a Sahara Clevertouch repaired by anyone other than Sahara ? I have a CT board out of warranty that needs repairing , but have been batted back and forth between Sahara and their repair company TADL for 20 DAYS!! just trying to get a quote!! I'm at the point of binning it and the 45 others i have.

Would be interested in the response, have been told I can only go through my reseller for a repair at a cost of £850. Just out of warranty.

Basically they may or may not be able to repair it - but have to come out to check - £600 call out charge. The ones i have they can't get parts for any more - pretty shocking really considering they are just over 3 years old. In this case I replaced the screen with a 55" TV and moved the TV to a room that didn't need interactivity.

Just recently got a problem with a CleverTouch 65 inch. The screen automatically keeps 'clicking' in the bottom corner. I think they're called phantom touches.

We thought it was a 5 year warranty...but no, Sahara said 3 years...and it's happened just outside of that.

They gave some tips but if it doesn't work then we won't be buying CleverTouch again.

you're joking? I'd be looking back at the invoices. What did your reseller say?

When mine do that it's normally a new touch component that goes around the bezel.

Speak to Futurevisuals - they seam to know everything about all the manufactures and have helped friends with Clevertouch repairs in the past.

We have same problem with two Sahara 65" touchscreens with 'phantom' touch and mouse pointer going to bottom left corner of screen. Did you get a solution or any joy from Sahara?

I've got 3 that do this on the regular. Things that may help:

- remove anything stuck to the bezel

- clean the screen and the sensors around the edge

- change the USB cable

- plug direct into board

- pray to the electronic gods for some respite

- buy new screens

I have a feeling that CleverTouch have a dodgy batch of screens. What model is yours? Mine are the 9GT65S06LSAEO

I have eight of this model, randomly get this problem always found power down for 10min and change USB port and lead does the trick. They are all over 5 years old now so haven't done to bad

Hi,

I've since left the school and I believe my colleague was in talks with Sahara/CleverTouch at the time...but don't know what's happened.

I'll try find out and let you know.
