Does your redirect only kick in once a user has logged in, or should it work on all pages (like your Samples)?

If the latter, it's not working for us. It's back to being Vimeo and Youtube.

It works in demo mode for us not just when logged in.

Narp. Demo mode is pulling player.vimeo.com/video/183644273

Pretty sure our public IP hasn't changed. Will investigate to double-check then fire an email to their support, I guess.

The redirect is only effective after logging into your MathsWatch account.

Has anyone seen issues where a teacher playing a video experiences the video stopping and the screen going black? It can happen usually in full-screen mode, where going back to windowed mode may resolve it temporarily. We're on Chrome 63 currently, are registered for the redirect away from Vimeo (so the feed appears to be coming from duodesign.co.uk).

@MathsWatch ?

Sorry to drag up an old thread....

Maths leader is wanting Mathswatch.... tried it as a pupil and the vimeo videos are being blocked (as per policy). Was there a way around this with Smoothwall without unblocking all of vimeo?

Thanks

Another option is to contact Mathswatch, tell them your external IP and they make a change that runs the video from their servers instead.

This is what we did.

They do host the videos themselves, too, but they try and cheap out on bandwidth and offload that to Vimeo.

If you give them your external IP they change something their end that displays content from their own servers instead.

Just to confirm what has been said by other members, please forward us your school public IPs and we should be able to fix the issue for you.

Hope this helps.

We've not had problems with MathsWatch but today a teacher has reported the site being blocked.

The main URL's being reported as blocked from our Smoothwall are Content Delivery related and appear to change depending on video chosen!!!

The numbers "157" appear to change depending on the video - all very annoying.

Looks like the category Video Filetypes are being blocked. You should be able to allow this by adding 'vod-adaptive.akamaized.net' without quotes to the 'URL patterns' field in an allow category.

Thanks - presumably this opens up the videos not just for MathsWatch but for anything else too?

Currently we do not allow lower school students to use YouTube or Vimeo :(
