Does anyone know off the top of their head what permission staff need to add 'Quick Notes' to student records in SIMS.

I've looked through the SIMS permission spreadsheet but it is not listed.

Most permissions are not field related, so you would be looking at making Student Basic Details editable. That's on the Class Teacher group. Personally I wouldn't recommend it, you'll end up with a lot of junk that won't be maintained, and maybe other fields getting changed.

Just for future ref to others, as noted above, the person has to have edit Basic Details rights; I made a group (in Manage Groups) with only this function to enable this Quick Note ability eg for safeguarding staff to be able to add a qucknote. Had to tell them not to make any other edits eg name spelling changes etc without alerting me first.
