Managed Wireless Quotes

Oh dear, our managed wireless system has decided to fail during the summer holidays. It is just over six years old so time to get changed.

 

We had looked into alternative options and RM had provided me with a quotation for a Meru/Fortinet solution for £16-17k.

 

Can anyone suggest some alternative companies who are able to quote for my school in Greater London as I need three quotes and would like to see if my quote is competitive.

 

Another option would be to go with a Ruckuss solution.

We use Aerohive which has been pretty good over the years. We got our kit and support from LAN3 who have been very helpful.

If you're happy to do a bit of cabling work yourself, I'd recommend Unfi kit. We replaced our older wireless system that cost £20k+ with Unfi, total cost about £5k. And it works a million times better.

Replaced my Cisco with Ruckus the Cisco was 23k 10 aps 3 years ago my ruckus cost with 25 ap's and controller and install 9k

 

got mine from dan @ primary technology they do all the stone installs too

Unifi is excellent and soooo much cheaper than the rest. Probably depends on the size (and budget) of the school though!

We've just put in a new Ruckus system which we're VERY pleased with. Before purchasing I tested demo kit from Ruckus, Meraki and Xirrus. Ruckus was the clear winner by far both in terms of performance and overall price (less APs needed).
