Daily and Weekly IT Tasks

A bit random but I was just making a list of daily and weekly tasks that I have to do and though I would ask you guys.

 

What sort of things do you do.

 

For example a daily task would be check all back-ups are working,CCTV system is live and recording, Telephone system is recording.

Weekly:

Backup checks

Blog post tidy and check

Website update checks

 

Daily:

Shut down PCs with ABTC

Helpdesk check through of job status

 

Longer term stuff (monthly) includes updating website sofware, Exchange, pushing out Windows Updates, etc.

1. Switch on coffee machine

2. Switch on PC and log on

3. Pour coffee

4. Log on to edugeek

5. Drink coffee

6. Check email

7. Check supply of hobnobs

Backups should be daily.

 

Ensure all servers are up and check for any errors reported on any monitoring systems used.

Hobnob and coffee supply checks are the last task of the day so you can make sure you restock for the next day if necessary
