StrictlyBrew Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 Hi, Has anyone had experience migrating all staff emails away from LGfL to another provider, in particular Office 365? My experience is that LGfL will not allow us to do a bulk IMAP migration and the only suggestion is doing a manual move of each mailbox in Outlook. Any advice anyone has to help would be very welcome! Thanks in advance James
chris_uk Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 We did LGFL to On Prem Exchange 2013, the only way of getting the emails away from LGFL is to manually export each account to PST. Yes, this means setting up outlook for each person, waiting for it to download and then exporting it. With Exchange we then imported the PST using powershell.

psydii Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 Technically they ought to be able to export all the mailboxes to pst for you: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn440164(v=exchg.160).aspx So the process should basically be that you create your new tenant with empty mailboxes, point all your MX and Autodiscovery records to your Tenant/EOL and then Atomwide export your old mailboxes(in their tennent) to pst, for you to import using the standard MS tools. https://support.office.com/en-gb/article/Use-network-upload-to-import-PST-files-to-Office-365-103f940c-0468-4e1a-b527-cc8ad13a5ea6 1
Parm79 Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 I am using bit titan does the job $4.99 per mailbox. Be sure to use lgflmail as the source address and not your own domain because once you switch you can do one last final sync
sparkeh Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 (edited) Why can't you use the standard 365 migration tools? https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/2798131/how-to-migrate-mailbox-data-by-using-the-exchange-admin-center-in-offi and setup an imap migration. Edited July 19, 2017 by sparkeh
Parm79 Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 I'm sure when I checked there was some problems and lgfl where not very helpful.
