Which version of Office?

Win 10 and Office 2016 for us when we refresh the student's PC's, also default ClassicShell in Win 7 mode. Big shiny boxes in the start menu may overload the helpdesk

 

Personally, the button in Outlook for attaching files to emails that remembers the files you have been working on, is my standout feature

Windows 10 1607 & 2016 (Same as everyone else by looks of it!)

We had issues with Sage and Office 2013 so had to leave the accounts people on Office 2010. Currently trialing Office 2016 (in other words I'm using it on my laptop) with a view to gradually push it out over the next few months.

 

Still using Win7 on the majority of the machines as later versions clash with some of our examination software - e-volve for example will randomly crash on 8.i and 10

From what I've read the 2016 version has better collaborative tools such as video conferencing within documents, live multi-user editing etc. Seems like a pretty nifty tool. Going to introduce it to our school at some point. Currently on 2010, and going to advertise 2016 for teachers for them to install in their own good time so they can run it alongside 2010 and get used to it. When the 'cut off date' has been reached it'll install on student machines and, uninstall 2010 and set the defaults to 2016.

I've just pushed out 2016 here over the summer and one of our supported primaries have been using 2016 since Easter. 3 more primaries to upgrade to 2016 probably October half term and one I can't persuade to move away from Office 2010 yet !

I've deployed Office 2016 since October 2015, along with Windows 10 and have had practically no issues. It's more so user limitation rather than technical limitation.

I'd save the school their annual MS license fee and give them Google apps for free.

THAT'S a totally different way of working. Even Office online which looks similar poses a big challenge for those who are used to the old ways.
