GTX Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 Hi All, We are expanding from 2 floors to 4 floors in our office and had me thinking. How are we going to communicate if they are on the phone? Emails a too formal... IM Service? Is there any free IM service that we can install in a Hyper-V VM that will connect via Ldap etc. Then they can login with a client and see all the members of staff online? Would love this to be free as i can prove its worth before asking to buy something. Ideas would be really appreciated.
MatthewL Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 I've used Spark in the past but you could always use Lync or Skype. I work out and about alot and often ping emails to colleagues like are you in the office, can you jump off this etc etc. 1
Norphy Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 I've used Spark and Openfire before as well but if you've got an active Office 365 subscription, you may as well use Lync/Skype For Business. 1
Sylv3r Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 We will be pushing out Skype for Business as part of our Office365 setup here. 1
angrycomputingteacher Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 Not used it. But Lync seems to be good. 1
