Garacesh Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 If anyone has it, Overwatch could be a good alternative FPS for playing as a group. Lots of Synergy and fun times to be had with it. I'm still holding off on buying it, but I think that part of that reason is that I don't know anyone that has it yet. It does look fantastic, and looks to be the kind of gameplay I enjoy (I grew up with Quake and Unreal Tournament, where moving is part of your skillset, rather than being penalised for it as per CS:GO's mechanics)
Garacesh Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 (edited) Is Overwatch cross platform? Blizzard have said this is not on the cards, due to Mouse and Keyboard having an inherent advantage over Controllers. It is planned that XBox One and PS4 players can play vs each other, though. Edit: This is stuff I found out during development/before release, so might have changed since then. Edited June 23, 2016 by Garacesh
LiamHaith Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 It's great fun Gara, though there are a few different heroes who benefit from strange movement, others that don't. The different Heroes vary immensely in playstyle. I picked it up two days ago and I've been having an absolute blast with it.

But when a friend convinced me to try Overwatch just for fun, I ended up getting sucked in as well. The different hero styles and the support roles give a lot more variety than I expected. It’s also less punishing than CSGO if you’re just looking to chill and have some fun with others. Wow that's gotta be thread necro of the year - the last post was 8 years old!! Congratulations! 1
