Garacesh Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Nando's is a'ight, but nothin' special. It's a reasonable concept, but I'd rather have a variety of meal options, rather than only a handful and get to pick different seasonings/garnishes/sauces/whatever. I'm basically good for anywhere as long as it's within an hour's public transport lol
DJ-1701 Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 I'll see if I can book off the 29th, that is, if you are allowing any dirty southerns to attend?

Boredguy Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Woot! Also got confirmation today. Yea yea, your leaving me to deal with the contractors and what not on my own for the day. Try not to loose him up there @Joanne I would like my minion back for the rest of the holiday
RichCowell Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Is it the 29th then? Has a venue been decided? I'll be up for it, @ticker probably will be too if he's not away then...
Joanne Posted July 15, 2016 Author Posted July 15, 2016 Uhhhh ohhhh... funny story... I'm in Scotland on the 29th!! Feel free to still meet up without me though!

DJ-1701 Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 (edited) I'll be coming. Just need the venue That... is a very good point. Where do the lovely people of the North suggest? Edited July 15, 2016 by DJ-1701
RichCowell Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 (edited) There's been a few great suggestions already, the ones @Dos_Box suggested in Preston are great with me too, as are Sycamore Farm and the Walton Fox, there's also a Miller & Carter steak place just off the M6 at junction 27, and a good 2-for-1 place the other way off junction 27 (the name of that one always escapes me)... Edited July 15, 2016 by RichCowell
RichCowell Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 Sycamore Farm gets my vote! Not sure how accessible that is for anyone relying on public transport though...

It's fantastic! A tenner to get in and all the machines are set to free-play! Bonus: They have some great nerd merch there, too. I thought it would just be a bunch of emulators or somethin', but nope, it's actual arcade machines from back in the day Highly, highly recommended for anybody wanting to experience the oldies from back when the Arcade was the place to hang
