The South? It's almost in THE NORTH:

;)

I think weekends are a good idea.

Tbf the last time I went as far north as Oxford people were starting to become friendlier. I had to turn back for fear of losing my loyalty to the M25.

You joke, but one company we deal with divides their southern sales territories into 'London and everywhere to its east' and 'the south west". Consequently our school (a bit to the east of Reading) was apparently in the South West!

My husband's previous employer had 3 territories:

America

Asia-Pacific

Europe (which inexplicably included India and Brazil)

Swindon bit to far for me! I'm a hermit who doesn't like traveling !

PMed you.

It's perfectly understandable, at some point in time they must have left Europe and kept on going. ;)

Maybe they were thinking of the colonial era, with India being part of Britain, and Brazil settled by the Portuguese...

Anything South of middlesborough is the south to me. People in Yorkshire don't seem to appreciate this opinion the few times I've mentioned it since moving here from Newcastle.

In case anyone here is interested :)...

Good morning all, in case you are not a weekend reader, I have put together a form which people can select their preferred options. It was mentioned that Salisbury might be somewhere that would be good to meet up for some, so I have included locations there to get an indication of numbers interested in the venues. Also I have asked for your rough location so I can see where the majority of interested people are to see about further options going forward. :)

Midlands / Derby? Anyone?

(C'mon - I know we've only just got past discovering slood* in some areas of the Midlands, but there's surely someone on here)

*Slightly harder to discover than water, slightly easier to discover than fire

@korifugi

Start a Midlands/Derby EduBytes thread and see what you can do (see the Swindon(ish)none for ideas :)

If there's one somewhere near Yorkshire I might be able to attend (depending on the Public Transport routes/travel costs) could be fun.

Try to organise one near you, then you know you're sorted :)

I'm in Derby so that works for me!

Bit before me, I thought of this:

Back on topic however, I'm down in Cornwall during the first 2 weeks of the 6 weeks holiday's so if there's anything happening down that area while I'm about I'll be sure to drop in :)

I'd be up for it, although when I used to go to car meets we would be able to tell whos turning up by cars....

We may just be wandering around car parks and pubs by ourselves ;)

Could there be a run on 'Edugeek AFK' lapel badges??
