Anyone playing Overwatch/battleborn?

Just inquisitive to see whom is playing the beta for overwatch or even playing battleborn?

Been really enjoying these ever so much, and i tend to play more mmorpgs than competitive shooters.

Admitted both different styles but the humor and styles of both have got me hooked, so whom else is playing! =)

Aye, i used to play CS.1.5/1.6 back in the day, but aimed more for mmorpgs than shooters for ages. but battleborn and overwatch kept me engaged the past few days.

Due to *Inside rates* i get my deluxe copy for about £12. So extra free stuff and having fun for that price is a no brainer for me... hell even 30 is fine with myself.

I played the Overwatch beta for a bit over the weekend found myself up against a team with 3 of the Grim reaper guys and 2 of the mobile turret guys (sorry don't know any of the character names) and couldn't even get out of the spawn area, it seems like some of the characters are way too over powered but other than that game I really enjoyed it but it is pretty much a TF2 clone and I loved that game.

I played the Overwatch beta for a bit over the weekend found myself up against a team with 3 of the Grim reaper guys and 2 of the mobile turret guys (sorry don't know any of the character names) and couldn't even get out of the spawn area, it seems like some of the characters are way too over powered but other than that game I really enjoyed it but it is pretty much a TF2 clone and I loved that game.

 

Thing with Overwatch is that there tends to be a counter for everything. 2 bastions aka the turret robot guys, just use the lass with the jump pack and rocket launcher with aussy guy with the grenade launcher. Just means teams got to be flexible to switch out when needed.

Played game yesterday, the enemy team was just 5(or 6) Bastions was pain in ass but found the way around it.

 

My main person is Roadhog! Grab and smash nice and easy!

I tend to main D.va with her suicide bombs, and attempting to get better with tracer. Though, did well with Reaper every so often! Again why i love the game as every one feels very unique and has that awesome tf2 feel.

Ah the Division im keeping away after the damn hackers and glitchers in DZ, untill its fixed keeping away. Which saddens me since i LOVEEEEEEEE the damn game. Just cant justify making some kiddies evening with their hacks.

But not to keen on the battleborn then?

I'm thinking about getting battleborn as I played the Beta and enjoyed it and that's the first game i genuinely enjoyed for a long time. Want to pre-order battlefield 1 though so i'm not sure which to go for!

Currently playing Battleborn and enjoying it enough that I didn't make the overwatch beta, probably in the minority but after seeing video's of overwatch it just didn't appeal to me in the way battleborn did/does.

I enjoyed both quite well, Overwatch has that fast paced TF2/character skill based combat. While Battleborn has the comical, moba, pvp style battles. Sadly i feel battleborn characters need some nerfs and the game needs some more maps.

Definitely some balance issues to work on, I've always felt that more complex characters should be more powerful when used well than simplistic characters battleborn has quite a few examples that go against that principle, I guess you can see that as good or bad depending on perspective, regardless I still think that generally the more skilled player would come out on top in most circumstances due to making less mistakes.

 

Map count is definitely a problem, made worse by the frame rate issue many are experiencing on a few maps meaning no one votes for those maps so playing on one map 99% of the time does get very old, read an interview on reddit with one of the devs where he said a new map for each mode and a new mode is very close and that they are working on the frame rate issues, if they can get both done soon I feel 3 maps per mode is ok.

 

I'll probably pick up overwatch at some point, but in no rush right now.

Aye i herd they where working on fixing a lot issues related around the game. think they expected a ETA around end of may.

And i agree, more complex characters should be more powerful, but degrade based on other factors. Simple should be fun, and able to hold their own. But ultimately its got to have a curve based on the characters.
