Adobe CC asking to sign in

We have Adobe CC on an EEA agreement. We use the device licensing option under the Creative Cloud Desktop apps for Education, but on a new image we have built, after deployment the desktop apps are asking users to sign in. What is odd is that on an earlier image that the new one is an updated version of, it all works as you would expect. Nothing that was updated on the image has anything to do with Adobe, just windows security updates, latest java and some python modules.

 

Any ideas?

It's a bit of a botch but we just use a GPO to rename C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Creative Cloud\ACC\Creative Cloud.exe to Creative Cloud X.exe and then the shortcut in our redirected startmenu points to the newly named exe for the off chance somebody wants to use it. No problems so far with this method

Is this the 2019 versions of Creative Cloud Apps? If so signin is mandatory I believe as device licences are being phased out.

We are using 2016 version, I didn't know device licenses were being phased out

You need to sync your users to the Adobe Creative Cloud Console and setup SSO. It will differ depending if you use ADFS/AzureAD/Gsuite. 2018 versions are the last with Serial Licensing.
