Actually in reality we get paid for 0.25 of a day extra every year and it gets evened out in leap years

AND - don't go round telling people it is the 29th

those of us who are single and have a partner will be worrying all day!!!:(

You work an extra day in the year. Is your employer paying you for that then?

According to tradition, if a woman proposes marriage on Leap Day to a man and he refused, the man was obliged to buy her new gloves on Easter Day. Edited by DJ-1701

As a single very good looking (if I say so myself) person, I'm afraid women might be proposing to me in the street.

Reality : I tend to get people running around screaming when they see my ugly mug

That's quite a fair compromise (from the mans point of view!)

Apparently in Sweden (or Norway or something) he has to buy her enough silk to make a skirt

In any case - new gloves v. cost of wedding - you do the math(s)

fortunatly I have managed to dodge the marriage bullet so far - but it is the 29th Feb and I am going round to my Girlfriend's later:eek:
