Thirty years after the original film took the world by storm, Ghostbusters is back and fully rebooted for a new generation. Director Paul Feig combines all the paranormal fighting elements that made the original franchise so beloved with a cast of new characters, played by the funniest actors working today. Get ready to watch them save the world this summer!

That is my first time watching a trailer for a trailer!! What was the point? Lol

Maybe they were trailing behind with the trailer, so put up a trailer trailer to trail us off our trailer fix?

On a related note... I happened to be watching Ghostbusters 2 with my son the other day, and 9(ish) mins into it when Bill Murray is talking to the psychic woman, she claimed the world was going to end *today* (14/2/16)...

...Don't know why so many people are dead set against it.

Affection for/loyalty to the original cast, particularly Bill Murray?

Murray has repeatedly said he's not interested, AFAIK Dan Aykroyd at least used to be, Ernie Hudson gotta eat, so I guess he'd not turn down the work, and Harold Ramis is dead. So It's BM who stopped GB III. Never found him that amusing, he always plays himself (even in The Razor's Edge, which he directed so no excuse there - quite a good film otherwise) and - worst of all - he starred in one of the most over-rated, turgid pieces of dullness ever committed to celluloid: Lost in Translation.

Besides which, from what I hear BM doesn't seem to object to the new film...

I didn't expect a remake! Remaking Ghostbusters is like remaking Star Wars. Blasphemous!

Is it a remake though? The trailer states that '30 years ago four scientists saved New York', 'This summer a new team will answer the call'. From that I would assume it's a continuation as opposed to a remake, but I could be wrong.

Sony's description for the YouTube trailer says it's a reboot.

Ghostbusters makes its long-awaited return, rebooted with a cast of hilarious new characters. Thirty years after the beloved original franchise took the world by storm, director Paul Feig brings his fresh take to the supernatural comedy, joined by some of the funniest actors working today – Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, and Chris Hemsworth. This summer, they’re here to save the world!

I watched this trailer this morning and thought it was terrible and has all the makings of a king kong sized turkey going by that trailer, it seems way too forced and trying way too hard with a film series that should not have been remade, Hollywood needs to leave some of their works alone and not go back or reboot or remake.

That trailer is 100 times better than the last one, yet it still doesn't look like a particularly good film.

And *still* using the racial comic card in 2016? Even Chris Rock got bored of that. Maybe I'm expecting too much from it.

I stand by my first comments on that film trailer, it still looks terrible and way too forced.

it just looks like some exec thought people like ghostbusters still lets cash in and nobody really had a good story to tell but whilever money can be made rehashing old ideas we will get the films we "support"
