A double-decker bus has been blown up on a central London bridge as part of a stunt for an upcoming movie.

 

Footage of the bus crossing Lambeth Bridge was captured by London Fire Brigade who were on standby in case anything went wrong with the explosion.

 

The bridge was closed to all traffic for the filming, which is believed to have been for the forthcoming Jackie Chan movie, The Foreigner.

There was, apparently, adequate notice for road closures and local residents were also warned of the upcoming event. What is the source of the moans?

Would this be for London Under Siege? which looked to be a good film, it was on the trailers of Dirty Grandpa, which is a wrong film in every way but funny.

That it was all in bad taste given the events in London.

The seemed to forget that local residents don't tell the rest of London it should have been notices everywhere as I didn't know about it till I heard about the aftermath and these "we are filming" signs are usually small and not that easily found so can be a pain, the Cadbury Christmas Ad was filled in Woolwich Centre and the signs were a few dotted around nothing much to note about and they had turned the square into chaos and a snowy wonderland but lots didn't know and I live a short walk from it....

In my opinion, this might be what the film producers wanted to happen!

 

Imagine now how many people have spoke about this film and know about it, before hand no one had ever heard of it!

 

Don't be surprised now if the film gets good numbers at the box office

Even the police in a helicopter that saw it happen didn't know apparently . That has to be wrong. Is it the film maker's fault or the Met's or the Mayor's Office though? You would have thought that all 'interested' parties should be properly informed.

I understand from a friend who had armed police attend his filming location in the middle of nowhere that it's the film maker's responsibility to ensure the police are properly informed (once the police had confirmed they were using replica firearms and stopped pointing guns at the actors I think they were quite adamant on that front)
