GuyJD Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 2 new expansion trailers came out of E3 the first of which drops later this month on PC and Xbox and August for PS4 W W
GuyJD Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 WOW I hope they do change Frontline, that would be impossible to fight against.
Lonix Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 Just a headsup regarding the latest DLC. Quick and easy to get better gear, only rank 20 and already gained almost an entire full set of 240+ plus a new assault rifle. Only major thing I need to replace is my rifle... probably going for the rank 40 one... Also you gain a ton of phoenix credits during the underground. Just be warned that it's pretty much a grindfest.. At least once you get a ton of gear you can go back and do all the heroic/challenging stuff. Currently sitting at 233 gear rating I think.. low thanks to my 204 rifle.. UGH!
GuyJD Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 Gearing up is so easy now with the new update, I spent most of Thursday while I was off work sick matchmaking in the Underground and got a ton of new gear even my handgun is (a first wave PX-45 I think)160k DPS, I'm loving the new G36 Assault rifles but all of the choice of gear set are confusing as hell right now.Going back above ground I'm finding I'm just using my hand gun to conserve ammo on anyone other than a named enemy in PvE.
cherd84 Posted September 19, 2016 Author Posted September 19, 2016 Anybody still playing? It's become my go to game when I have a spare 30 mins. Blast through the daily challenges to save Phoenix credits for a rainy day. I'm looking forward to 1.4. If it does what it says on the tin, the game will be a bit more fun again.

I'd consider coming back if they fixed the hacking issue, but even if they did, I figure it's a dead game on PC now. Massive shame, because at its core it's a fantastic game. But they really screwed over PC players with the trusted-client model
LiamHaith Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 Yeah, if I had people to play with, and they fixed the horrible hacking/bug abusing situation and made the grind a little less... I'd probably come back, hell even if they didn't reduce the grind, it's good fun as long as it's fair.
cherd84 Posted September 19, 2016 Author Posted September 19, 2016 Agreed on the trusted-client model. They're allegedly going to change it so that you're more likely to get better loot in the PvE areas and there's a new tier system for players to take a look at. It might end up just making the DZ more of a no go area if there's little point going in there for loot and they don't get a grip on the cheats. Full vid below explaining all.
GuyJD Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 (edited) Has anyone been watching the Survival DLC gameplay? I watched a bit yesterday while I was off work sick in bed, it looks pretty cool bringing a few new mechanics to the gameplay like managing your body temperature and health. It definitely has a Battle Royale/Hunger Games vibe to it, opening up the entire map for for either PVP or PVE with 21 other players depending on the option you choose and there's no need to worry about getting your backside kick by OP players as everyone starts the 2 hour session with no gear other than a high end pistol. It's available on PC via the PTS for anyone who has the season pass but no release date has been set yet for when it will be available on other platforms Personally I've got right back in to The Division since they re-balanced everything in patch 1.4 and am super hyped for Survival. I didn't know anything about this till seeing your post, but oh my this DLC has serious potential to be really good! I've not played the Division for months. I even picked up the season pass and I've played none of the first DLC drop. Might have to re-download it and try to get back into it as like you said, I too have heard good things about patch 1.4 and this new Survival mode only adds to the good vibes.
JJonas Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 I'm playing 1.4 on Xbox and enjoying it much more than I was 1.3. The Dark zone is actually fun to go into now.

The hacking and the repeated increases to the grind (like material conversion) massively put me off.. Mostly all the hackers. If they've not fixed that, I won't be coming back. But even now I feel it might be too little, too late.
L3OUGH Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 What's actually changed then to make such a difference??
CAM Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 There's more above world content using the Intel and High-Value Targets system. And enemies were made harder when you hit cap. If you want some group stuff, underground is a procedurally generated dungeon crawler. Gear is easy to get, lots of new sets and reaching the iLevel cap of 229 took all of an evening.
JJonas Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 (edited) All of the gold named world bosses now re-spawn every 4 hours. Teal (gear sets) now drop from just about everything. Enemies now only go up to level 33 so they are easier to kill. There are 4 world tiers that govern the level of the gear that drops with tier 4 being 229. I did read that tier 5 is coming in 1.5 http://www.idigitaltimes.com/division-15-patch-notes-released-survival-dlc-pts-567359 Edited November 9, 2016 by JJonas
GuyJD Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 yeah there's a new tier with 256GS loot coming in the patch, it's due Q1 2017
Garacesh Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 Well I picked this back up again today, just to see what was new, have to say I'm impressed. The world feels more 'alive', it seems like there's more civilians and JTF patrols. Above-world bosses drop reasonable loot and Phoenix Credits The Daily and Weekly tasks, whilst unimaginative, at are at least useful for free stuff and not exactly difficult. Free gear, Phoenix credits and crafting materials for levelling up. (RNG, though) Search and Destroy is a nice addition. It's much more enjoyable than grinding the story missions. DX12 support New PvE scaling system dependent on how good your gear is. Looks like the Dark Zone works the same way, but I haven't gone in yet. However, some old bugs still persist, which is a massive shame. The most egregious one being the texture and assets still suffering from severe pop-in or even not loading. Your character gets running disabled and eventually they can't even walk at normal-speed whilst the game tries to load assets and enemies, meanwhile you're getting pelted with bullets from enemies you can't see nor Pulse. No combination of reducing settings or increasing when assets are loaded seems to help. Movement can still be a little janky and make you interact with the wrong things sometimes. CPU and GPU throttling. Temperatures are fine (43°C and 59°C respectively) but usage hit 100% for both. Possibly related to the first point. Load times are still awful. And of course there's always that three-letter bugbear: DLC. I think I'll stick at it during my week off, see if it's worth getting back in to. If it is, I might sponge on the DLC, but I'm going to hold off buying it for now.
Arreks Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 Ah you're tempting me @Garacesh. I still have it installed but haven't gone anywhere near it for the last 5 months..
JJonas Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 @Garacesh it has very much improved on what it was at launch and the first few patches. So I recommend everyone who was put off to give it another chance. I am playing on Xbox One so not seeing many of your PC related problems. As for DLC may I recommend Survival, of all the DLC's it is the most different and provides quite an intense experience.
GuyJD Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 I only recently stopped playing it as I was a bit bored of it to be honest, the DLC stuff is good but hasn't held my interest, the Open Beta for Ghost Recon Wildlands starts tomorrow and continues over the weekend, that has a very similar feel to it and the Division and I enjoyed the closed beta so I'm probably going to move over to that.
Garacesh Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 I am playing on Xbox One so not seeing many of your PC related problems. Yeah, it happens a lot for me, so annoyingly, as much as I love the concept for the game, I think I'm going to ditch it again. Shame really. the Open Beta for Ghost Recon Wildlands Yeah, looks good, but by 'Open beta' they actually mean 'pre-purchased beta' by the looks of it, since it's asking for a product key..
GuyJD Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 Yeah, looks good, but by 'Open beta' they actually mean 'pre-purchased beta' by the looks of it, since it's asking for a product key..Shouldn't be, you sure you're not looking at the closed beta still? that needed a key to play.
jaminben Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 I didn't need a key for the open beta... pre-downloaded on Tuesday for PC.
Garacesh Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 (edited) I didn't need a key for the open beta... pre-downloaded on Tuesday for PC. Positive. I went to Ghost Recon® Wildlands on PS4, Xbox One & PC | Ubisoft® (US) (which specifically has 'open-beta' in the url) and clicked PC, then uPlay was asking me for a product key. Tried it multiple times. Tried it just now and it's working without one. C'est la vie. Edited February 23, 2017 by Garacesh
