Toshiba Photocopiers

Hi Everyone, I need to know if anyone is using Toshiba copiers. We are looking at changing and I just want to know the good and bad experiences of any Toshiba copiers.

We only have the one Toshiba copier, a 5540c model (all the rest are Sharp and Ricoh). Although I don't use it much myself, its been a pretty solid copier. We've probably had maintenance and repairs done less on that than with all the others combined! And we run our copiers through Papercut if that helps.

If you just want to copy, print and scan, then yeah nice machines, add an accounting solution such as PaperCut makes it a nasty machine. If your using PaperCut I would recommend Sharp, they have just introduced embedded scanning to Sharp and Kyocera machines, works like a dream on Sharp machines with 10" screens.

We found or Toshiba machines to be quite unreliable in comparison to the Ricoh machine we have today.

I work for 4 school and 3 of them use tosh and all have been no problem.

We ave a range of Tosh copiers - eStudio 3055, 3555 & 4555 coupled with papercut MF from Arena and to be fair not had any issues what so ever. We've had one where the display stopped working but that's about it and Arena have been great overall. We also have a few Kyocera 6000 printers which just work.

 

I would say that the only real problem we have very rarely is the driver doesn't install correctly but it's a very rare occurrence.

plus one for arena the toshibas we have are great. only issue would be the paper trays after a while you have to fasten the paper divider with a screw (hole provided) other than that no issues great machines.

 

if you want to see them running you can pop in our place.

 

we run papercut with rfid cards

 

we have four copiers one with the stapler booklet maker etc.

 

the toshiba drivers are ok no issues have them on a server 2008r2 vm along with paper cut.

 

not tested with windows 10 yet but windows 7 is fine.

 

we also intergrate this with mstore document management software also provided by arena.

We've got a range of Toshiba copiers from Arena also, all running PaperCut MF. The copiers themselves are generally fine, a few issues here and there but no different to any other copiers really.

Paper tray guides broke often, leading to skew paper and jams. other than that not too bad.

We have 3 Toshiba's (A3 colour, 2 x A4 colour) through Crest and 3 Ricoh's (1 x A3/booklet colour, 2 B&W) through Ricoh. Quality is far superior on the Toshiba's and we've also had less maintenance/call outs. All are controlled with Papercut. Overall our experience with Toshiba MFDs has been very positive - and staff love the "banner printing"! When the Ricoh booklet printer lease is up, expect we will look favourably on another Tosh.
