russdev Posted January 23, 2006 Author Posted January 23, 2006 the idea is we are going to setup cafepress shop with some of the designs (generate some income) and also for conference in april might get some special ones done as prizes etc russ
TechMonkey Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Are we being marked on fonts and colours as well? As I'm rubbish at choosing both 8O Anyways, here's an attempt. Possibly more if I get inspiration today.
GrumbleDook Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 t|n>k That's a new powerbook you owe me ... oh ... it'll have to be a MacBook Pro now ;-)
GrumbleDook Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 How about this (I know it's a bit wordy but sadly it was the first thing to come into my head) On the front: EduGeek to rule them all, EduGeek to find them, EduGeek to bring them all and in the darkness bind them. On the back: (same as front but in elvish or something!) Tony Sheppard wrote: > But how on middle earth do you translate the words 'education' and 'geek'? "lore", "otaku" :-) (my thanks to rja.carnegie on alt.fan.pratchett) There you go ... design away.
Jake Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 How about, on the front.. "And lo, the admin said "The geek shall inherit the earth"" and some appropriate picture. And on the back, "Blessed are the Geek" and a big pic of the edugeek logo. I would have done something artistic, but sadly my creative art abilities are about as good as a whales ability to swim out of a river
Dos_Box Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 the idea is we are going to setup cafepress shop with some of the designs (generate some income) and also for conference in april might get some special ones done as prizes etc russ See my latest blog.
Dos_Box Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 Another I have thought up (shame I can't enter). EduGeek.net Changing passwords since 0830
ConTheITGuy Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 Another I have thought up (shame I can't enter). EduGeek.net Changing passwords since 0830 ROFLMFAO We need to sell that one anyway! Andy.
mac_shinobi Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Back Of shirt : Tech Staff @ edugeek.net Resetting Passwords Since First lesson Front Of Shirt : The things we do for schools !
_Rob_ Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Another I have thought up (shame I can't enter). EduGeek.net Changing passwords since 0830 CLASSIC! It has my vote
webman Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Forget the caffeine, EduGeek.net is what you need. Argh.. so cheesily cliché
john Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Yup, I like it, but it needs a small modification or two I think Edugeek.net (do we want to advertise to kids and staff about us though in-case they find something out about them and how we have a moan about certain types of teachers?!?!) Changing passwords since 0800 6 days a week
MkII Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Edugeek.net (do we want to advertise to kids and staff about us though in-case they find something out about them and how we have a moan about certain types of teachers?!?!) That does seem to be the consensus john - that we treat this place as if potential employers see it - be positive, proffessional etc etc. This does have the small but significant added bonus that we might be able to get pots of money out of it - so it's not all bad Needs to be in our introductory stuff somewhere - which we are working on.
russdev Posted January 26, 2006 Author Posted January 26, 2006 i think unfortuntly you are not going to hide this for long... my work know about it .... and all people at my work are great folks (just in case) but we will make sure there is couple that dont have edugeek.net address on so dont worry... there is no anonymity on web know so you have to treat it like potential employers might see it.... Russ
MkII Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 I got edugeek blocked for the whole of our LEA [school techs machines bypass this filter]
mac_shinobi Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 I cant draw it right now as im at work but will draw it up later but want to see what you guys / gals think to this idea for a shirt : On The Front : Edugeek.net Where we teach Teachers On The Back : ......... About professionalism
woody Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Or what about this (I know the design is a little boring but I can work on that) The first one is the front, and sedonf one is the back!
Dos_Box Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Wear this one at work at your peril: www.EduGeek.net Those who can, tech I also have in mind a version where the word 'teach' is used with the 'a' struck out.
ajbritton Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 OK, I know it's a rip-off but how about... www.edugeek.net "Hello, IT ... have you tried turning it off and on again?"
webman Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Error: /teacher/brain not found. Press any key to continue.
mac_shinobi Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 @ webman , what about something along the lines of : An error occured at memory location 0xc000019a-xx98dd00000-xxxx17F Explanation : Teacher requires Brain where Clue Is > 0 >> Please Insert Brain << '--------------------------------------------------- Then have a button that you can press that plays the admin song kind of like one of those christmas ties that plays a christmas tune. Then on the back just have edugeek.net
