[android] What's the best for handheld gaming?

Would quite like a handheld gaming console for Christmas so hopefully I can play some games when on the go, at work etc...

 

Was just wondering what you'd personally pick out of these three: PS Vita, Nintendo 3DS XL or the Nvidia Shield K1 Tablet

 

They are all around the same price but I'm really torn on what to go for, I've also heard things about the Shield tablet where some games don't support the GPU and thus won't run at all? I could be wrong though.

 

What would you pick and why?

I actually want to get the Nvidia tablet soon. I wouldn't say it's "handheld" unless you have 4 hands- two for the tablet and two for the controller. If you're looking a PSP format, I suggest looking at the Nvidia Shield Portable.

What are you looking for out of it? If it's gameplay, fun and a focused device get the New 3DS. If you want power, versatility and a huge variety of games/apps/stuff go for a Shield or similar. If you happen to want to play any of the games on it, go for a Vita.

Another option would be to get a GameKlip and use your existing Android smartphone?
