GrumbleDook Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 Yep ... you didn't know we had been running a competition but we have ... behind your back ... all secret and such. We have been carefully monitoring your posts, who is registering, who was nice when they came to the stand at BETT ... As a thank you for the support everyone has given since we have moved over, and a big thank you to the regulars and the newbies alike. To reward you we are taking all existing members that have posted within the last 10 days (until 11.59 pm yesterday) and all those that have joined during the same period and putting you into a prize draw. The prizes so far (and we may find more hidden in the depths of a cupboard in Rochdale): 2 x Elektron Enterprise Radius Server (courtesy of Periodiklabs.com) 2 x Microsoft Live OneCare subscriptions (courtesy of Microsoft UK Education) 1 x Encarta Student Pack (courtesy of Microsoft UK Education) 1 x Symantec 360 (courtesy of Symantec) 1 x Samsung ML-2250 Laser Printer 1 x Samsung ML-2251N Networked Laser Printer And there may be more. Winners will be announced tomorrow and snail mail addresses will be requested. Some larger prizes may need to be collected. Any prize not wanted will be put back into the prize pot for the next conference.

Edu-IT Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 (edited) Excellent prizes! I've not contributed much, not because I don't want to but because either I don't know the answers or somebody else already solves the problems before me, so I don't know whether I've been entered into this draw. If I have then great. Edited January 17, 2008 by Edu-IT

SimpleSi Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Sorry for the delay on this folks ... I am just need to make sure we include everyone in the draw that has posted. ...zzzzzzzzzz.....zzzzzzzzzzz....zzzzzzzzzzz... Do you need a hand parsing the database Even a primary ICT Co-ordinator could have done this by now regards Simon Job Vacancy at Edugeek Person required to organise a trip to an alcohol production facility ... Desirable Ability to add more smiley icon types to forum
GrumbleDook Posted January 21, 2008 Author Posted January 21, 2008 The parsing is being done by ZH ... but people keep disturbing him with silly things like rewriting URLs so that EduGeek can bypass blocks that LEAs have put in to stop people using forums. Anyway ... do you honestly think we would trust anyone other than ZH to play with the database? Heck ... *I* don't even trust *me*!!! And before anyone asks ... we didn't give Geoff access ... that *really* is his post count ;-)
SimpleSi Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Typical manglement response - blame the ICT technical dept regards Simon
Geoff Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 And before anyone asks ... we didn't give Geoff access ... that *really* is his post count ;-) postcount = postcount + 1
