Hi, When a user is logged on they are not able to check for updates as it's getting blocked.

Does Anyone know the website it's using to check for the update.

Thanks :)

:/ it would be much easier to just check for the updates, instead of putting a new msi package in.

Really? Surely the update is going to need admin privileges, it did here?

I would have thought it easier to get a new MSI, set it as an upgrade to the current package in GPO and let software install take care of it at boot.

we are using smoothwall.

Just monitor the logs (in Smoothwall) for the IP address of a client, click on Check for updates, and Smoothwall will tell you what pages that machine is trying to access. You can then whitelist them directly.

i have tried to do that, i was watching the username from which i was logged in from and it doesn't do nothing. Just one website which is unblocked as it is.
