Working out term time only pay calculations

Hi All,

 

Trying to work out my term time only pay please help!!!!

 

I get paid for

 

Term Time

190

 

Training Days

5

 

Working 2 weeks of school holidays

10 Days

 

Holiday Pay

26 days

 

= 231 DAYS

 

What percentage of working all year round do I work working 231 days a year?

 

Please Help!

I'm just guessing, but wouldn't you do 231/365 to give you 63%. Therefore, just work out 63% of your salary (salary/100 then * 63)

Its easier to work out weeks you work surely

 

So you work 41 weeks of the year

 

So you work 78% of the year.

I am not sure how you work out 26 days holiday, because if that is the case you are working 46 weeks of the year, so therefore that would make it 88%

(231/365) x 100 - 63.29 % (including weekends)

 

365 - 104 (for weekends) = 261

 

(231/261) x 100 =88.5% (excluding weekends)

I've always done hours worked times weeks worked per year divided by 1694.

So whatever 6 weeks pay is, is what you are not earning.

Just 'cos all your calculations look so simple and boring you need to remember to factor in your paid leave. Even if you have a term time only contract, you are entitled to paid annual leave - I have a term time only contract, but get paid for 43 weeks (39 school weeks per year for us).

260 working days, is full time, I believe.

 

So you work 231 out of the 260. (Exclude the holiday)

 

So 88.85%..?
