Garacesh Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 You need to make yourself a proper shovel! Tinkers tools would have that hollowed out in no time Dunno how D:
Geoff Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 I see IC2 has changed a bit, I might start with that instead of thermal expansion. @localzuk, do you know if the IC2 miner's config has been updated to account for all the extra ores in the pack?
localzuk Posted October 27, 2015 Author Posted October 27, 2015 No idea! All the configs are default per FTB Infinity. - - - Updated - - - Dunno how D: You should have had a book with the basics in when you spawned.
Garacesh Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Are people really googling around for servers and signing up with random forums to get on minecraft servers? O.o There's subreddits etc dedicated to servers. Seems way too much effort than it's worth.
localzuk Posted October 28, 2015 Author Posted October 28, 2015 I really don't mean to offend, but I don't think I'd be happy inviting someone on who I've never seen here before, sorry. Hang around and partake in the community for a bit and I'll add you for sure.
Geoff Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 It's not like this is the first minecraft server thread either...
ADMaster Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Yep a yearly reunion, winter coming on, will start playing again. I will PM shortly. Thanks,
Geoff Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 So I managed to get a little bit of Thermal expansion going, so I have automated pulverising and smelting (doubling my ore). I also started working on botania, I don't have much to show for it yet though I've got the infrastructure created so I can make something next session. On the downside I am plagued by horses. They generally get in the way, and in particular keep falling in my tinkers construct smeltery, clogging it up with glue. I was also overjoyed to find I've built my house on a slime chunk so not only do I have horses in my mine, I also have slimes.
Garacesh Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 They generally get in the way, and in particular keep falling in my tinkers construct smeltery, clogging it up with glue. You're serious.. You can smelt horses.. Into glue.. xD That's morbidly hilarious. *sigh* I guess I'd best get back to work on my Vault D:
Geoff Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Glue - Feed The Beast Wiki The irony is, I'm in a slime chunk so I have actual slime balls. No need to make pretend ones by melting down horsies.
localzuk Posted October 29, 2015 Author Posted October 29, 2015 You're serious.. You can smelt horses.. Into glue.. xD That's morbidly hilarious. *sigh* I guess I'd best get back to work on my Vault D: Come round my base and I'll make you some tools to speed it up.
Garacesh Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Come round my base and I'll make you some tools to speed it up. Awesome I'll probably be on for a bit tomorrow, if not, it won't be until Sunday 'cause I'm away for Hallowe'en
Geoff Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Did a little bit of Agricraft and got my wheat seeds improved a little. Dug out a lot of Y level 13 for diamonds. Made a strongbox as a result. Re-jiggled my botania mana gen, although I need to make some more endoflames. Killed many trees. Built a Coke Oven.
LiamH Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Joined yesterday, Died after loosing my pit in the ground and has to disconnect for a bit, came back and the death way point was gone Managed to find it eventually and recover all the clay I was out getting and made a tinkers smelter and a rubbish iron hammer and startedto strip mine for stuff now. I'll probably move base once I have myself a nice supply of stuff, just in the magical forest area at the moment. The mooshrooms are coming in handy for beef.
Garacesh Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 The mooshrooms are coming in handy for beef. Nooooooooo Make bowls, "milk" mooshrooms for mushroom soup. Keep them alive for an infinite source of food. Did a little bit of Agricraft and got my wheat seeds improved a little. Dug out a lot of Y level 13 for diamonds. Made a strongbox as a result. Re-jiggled my botania mana gen, although I need to make some more endoflames. Killed many trees. Built a Coke Oven. By the time I'm even 50% done there's gonna be no minerals left in the area Curse me and my large-scale ideas and function over form.
Geoff Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 @localzuk I got an update warning to update the pack to 2.0 when I logged in tonight. I cancelled it as I figured you wont of updated?
localzuk Posted October 30, 2015 Author Posted October 30, 2015 Not updating yet. Will have a look tomorrow morning I think!
localzuk Posted October 31, 2015 Author Posted October 31, 2015 Ok, I'm going to update the server. There's a bunch of new features, and some mods have been deleted. So, if anyone loses anything in the transition, I'll look at compensating with replacement items should it be needed. Looks like there is a chunk claim system now too, so you can claim your chunks and others can't break blocks unless you add them as a friend. So, if you want to have that protection, you can use it.
LiamHaith Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 My IGN is "Haith". Can't believe I forgot to leave it... I'm smart.
MrEprise Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 When I logged in just 10-15 mins ago, it said 2.0.2 was available so there must be a fair amount of bugs. Probably worth holding off unless there's something game breaking for which I haven't found any so far.
Fez Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 (edited) Feel free to add me if you want mc name is redhotfez (Dont ask it was a nickname from when i was young). I'm a veteran of FTB and minecraft. Used to run my own server on another forum but interest seemed to die out, be nice to get back on a server with other people. Edited October 31, 2015 by Fez
localzuk Posted November 1, 2015 Author Posted November 1, 2015 I'll look at updating again in a few days, don't want to have to keep doing it
Geoff Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Oh @localzuk the mushroom biome problem is caused by Biomes a Plenty when you generate a non BoP world.
