sammy42 Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Good Morning Has anyone had to give the PSCO that works with the school Access to SIMS. Apparently the other schools that this PSCO works with have given her access. Any thoughts as to Why?
3s-gtech Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Erk! Hell naw. I'd want paperwork coming out of the seams before I gave an external agency, especially the Police, access to our MIS. Parents would go ballistic. As far as I'm concerned, they can make a request, via the normal channels, for any information within. Would they give you a login to the PNC just in case?
Oaktech Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Nope... My last place had weekly police input and access to events logged in MIS and CCTV was always through the Deputy head in charge of behaviour.
localzuk Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Absolutely not. Any information should be requested, and any reasons checked before handing it over. You can't just let a 3rd party in to the system!

That will be me telling the school is a resounding no to that plan. Looks like the other schools in flyde she works with are breaking the law by giving her a SIMS acoount
