No disrespect to SJ, the man had a plan and the rest is obviously history... But how many times can Hollywood create movies about his life?!

 

Surely it would be better if they had another attempt at 'The Pirates of Silicon Valley' movie, pitting Apple again Microsoft.

as long as enough people pay to see it. Same as the travesty that is the Michael bay transformers movies while ever they make money they will make them and remakes/sequels/reboots of films/franchises that dont need/want them

I love to fully give SJ the disrespect he deserves, but yes it would be nice if hollywood in general stops rebooting crap over and over again. Or even worse, rebooting good stuff and ruining people's memories.

For instance, no disrespect to Harrison Ford but he came across as a bit doddery in Indy 4 - I dread to think what he's like in Star Wars nearly 10 years later...

Yep spot on.

 

I loved the 1st film, hated the 2nd and enjoyed the 3rd. I won't bother mentioning the 4th.....

 

As long as people spend money (although transformers is all about the merchandise too) I don't really want to watch a film based on Steve Jobs, Bill Gates or anyone who created these technology giants.

 

Good thing is though, I can actually decide if I want to see it or not

Its better than peter freekin pan. What a useless film idea they always turnout to be. Peter pan sucks !! its makes for a shite film and its always on the ruddy TV.

Have not seen a jobby film, but at least there wont ever be a sequel!

 

I'm actually disappointed that "Pan" is only on during the day near us, so we'll have to wait to see it.

 

As for no sequels - maybe not, but there have been two SJ films in as many years.

Went to see Pan on Saturday. What surprised the most about them using Smells Like Teen Spirit to introduce the villian. Was epic though!

Pirates of Silicon Valley is one of my favourite films. It would be nice to have someone throw a big budget at such an important subject (and from a historical view I think it is) as they become much more interesting once they introduce the rivelry and underhandedness of all of the companies at the time.

It makes for a much more gripping story.

Aaron Sorkin and Danny Boyle’s Steve Jobs movie had another disastrous showing at the box office over the weekend. With earnings declining more than 69 percent from the previous weekend to just $823,000, the movie was dumped from 2,072 screens — more than any other film.

 

To give you a sense of how big we’re talking, the original box office projections for the movie’s debut weekend were between $15 and $19 million. As it currently stands, the film has so far earned just $16,684,073 in its entire theatrical run — not only less than many thought it would make in three days, but barely more than the 2013 critical failure Jobs, starring Ashton Kutcher.
