Novalee Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 So I'm not sure what I'm asking about here. I know the products exist but I'm not sure of the names etc. A product which will link with SIMs and allow parents to log on and do a variety of options such as -view their child's attendance -update contact details -view their child's tracking -view their child's recent reports -potentially connect with the school cashless system and view what their child is buying for lunch What sort of thing am I looking for here? Thanks!
sparkeh Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Tasc Insight will do all that. Anyone have an idea of cost on this?
Paid_Peanuts Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Used to be about £1.20 per student, per year 2
haci Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 (edited) We use groupcalls emerge, although I haven't been involved much with it's deployment or use so couldn't comment on its cost or how effective it is, the only thing on your list I'm not sure about is if it can connect to the cashless system or not. *edit* Looking at the website http://www.groupcall.com/ it may be the messenger service which could be a further add on to the base emerge or could be completely seperate again I'm not sure but it does say it can connect to the cashless system Edited October 14, 2015 by haci 1
Edu-IT Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 We use TASC Insight and it ticks all those boxes and more.
SovietRussia Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 We made our own, but it took me about 7 months so wouldn't advise it. (Slowest project ever but had to make sure it was secure, secure and more secure)
GREED Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 We use groupcalls emerge, although I haven't been involved much with it's deployment or use so couldn't comment on its cost or how effective it is, the only thing on your list I'm not sure about is if it can connect to the cashless system or not. *edit* Looking at the website Groupcall - supplies Communication and data extraction tools to the Education, Public and business sectors it may be the messenger service which could be a further add on to the base emerge or could be completely seperate again I'm not sure but it does say it can connect to the cashless system For Parents, it will be Groupcall Xpressions the product you are looking for (formally Emerge for Parents which may be the confusion) that covers the requirements. Emerge is for Staff. 1
FragglePete Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 We use Schoolcomms here and feedback from parents has been really positive. Pete
