Kyle Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 I was wondering if anyone could recommend any visitor reception software. We are looking to do something shortly and it MUST linkin with Sims. Below i have made a wish list but i know i wont get a one size fits all solution so any suggestions would be greatly received. WISH LIST Electronic Sign In Pre-Book Recognition Photograph Badges Provide H& S info Alert staff member being visited Student Sign in Ability to print student late slip Quick report of visitors to reception Quick report for students signing in and out Display Screen Location info etc
Blue_Cookeh Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 I don't know what your developing skills are like, but I'd write a simple web app for this and then get an iPad in kiosk mode to display it. Easy. I'd be surprised if something already existed with all those requirements personally.

mikeyd101 Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 We used Raptor in the past, and now use Hallpass, but it only checks criminal history / sex offender, manages login / logout of campus and prints badges. I'm also in the USA so these systems may only be connected to USA databases.

Not sure if we have a similar system in the UK, but for schools at least, we probably should

We've used inVentry since it was quite a new product and it's pretty good... Don't think it does the H&S info - I've requested this a few times for contractors on site etc.

It turned out that there was no way of knowing which visitors were still around unless the wifi and the server were still working - with a real fire this couldn't be guaranteed

It depends which modules you want too, e.g. inVentry Anywhere / Student Reg etc. So it's not as simple as just putting a price list up...
