Dos_Box Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 I notice that some of our members (Grommit) had attended BETT yet stangely did not make themselves known to us What did the rest of you think about the stand and staff, did you see us and stop for a chat or did you think that we were too busy to bother talking to you? We wern't you know and had time (eventually) for everyone. Anyway, what did you think of us and who did you get to talk too? And which of our staff had the most obvious hangover?

webman Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Yes I was there as soon as we were allowed in on Saturday morning It wa's good to meet all the other member's and Edugeek staff and put a couple of face's to name's. Shame there wa's no pizza's when I was there though

Just keep an eye out for the invite on the forum. As our members who did it this year can attest, we look after you and you get the chance to meet nice companies and eat expensive steak!

Bromcom_John Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 I only really had time to do anything (other than man on our stand) first thing on Wednesday and when I walked past the Edugeek stand you all looked extremely busy (but this was before 10am). Looked like a nice setup though.

I glad i visited as i wanted to put some faces to the names on this site. I spoke to Zero Hour for around 10 mins (so they definatelly had time to see us!) It was good to see the edugeek team as they put a lot of time and effort into edugeek and the likes of me benefits from it. I also left a small donation to help keep the stand running! Overall impression ? made to feel very welcome, down to earth, genuine bunch of lads! great to meetup (at last!) Edited January 14, 2008 by projector1

Heh.. she phoned in this morning to say she's working from home, and she still sounds like barry whites deep voiced brother One of my colleagues answered the phone with "Oh hello Sue, i thought you were a bloke"!!!! Gav's back to his old self though - good going since he didn't get home til the early hours of sunday morning.

(tempted to be there on the stand in 2009! helping out)

GrumbleDook Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Probably not me ... I wasn't nice to anyone ... especially not those who walked passed saying "I'm sorry, I'm not interested in buying..." We were an information point ... and when we weren't doing that we were telling people about a free website called EduGeek.net. Sometimes people can be so cynical at tradeshows and think that people are in it for the mighty buck. Come to think of it ... we didn't get a Saudi Prince asking if he could buy us this year? I forgot to mention to those on the stand that 2 people asked why that nice American chap wasn't around this year. Well, Sun loaned us some very nice kit so it may have been a bit much to ask them to fly Art to us again. Next year we will print off your EduGeek name to stick on you badge if you want it ... that way you can instantly recognise fellow EduGeeks
