Wave9_Lee Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Hi Brimstone, that doc is out of date now (despite being on their website). There is no free MDM from Meraki any longer. It's all chargeable.

DJ-1701 Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 This blog post from Meraki about the differences between paid for and free versions.... https://documentation.meraki.com/zGeneral_Administration/Licensing/Systems_Manager_Licensing Hi Brimstone, that doc is out of date now (despite being on their website). There is no free MDM from Meraki any longer. It's all chargeable. Are you sure? I'm still using the free one (before newer accounts were restricted to 100 devices as well). I can't see any mention of it being paid for only now, and according to Google search results it has a date of 10th of October 2016. I guess if anyone want to try who hasn't setup one yet can always go to https://meraki.cisco.com/form/systems-manager-signup and find out though.

Wave9_Lee Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Ok, investigated this with our Meraki Rep (again). System Manager should have been chargeable by now, but it's taken a long time for marketing/collateral to catch up with the new model, so they're doing 100 free (as previous) in the meantime. So the upshot is, if you want the free unsupported SM, get on the case soon, as it will end soon. After that you can have a short trial, but that's it. 1
bknaggs Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 I signed up for a Systems Manager account this morning and this is what I see when I look at the license info when I'm logged in. If you can't see the screenshot it tells me it is free for up to 100 devices. About 30 minutes after signing up I got the sales call from Meraki and the guy indicated it is no longer free and is only a 28 day trial. I was in the middle of something else so I didn't query why this doesn't appear to be mentioned anywhere or even the fact that my newly created account tells me it is free for fewer than 100 devices.
Wave9_Lee Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 Hi bknaggs, I've spoken to Meraki - seems there is a lot of confusion internally with them too at this moment. If you would like me to help, I can ensure that you get your 100 free, rather than a trial. Let me know, regards Lee
garethEds Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 Hi @Wave9_Lee - fancy sorting that out for me?
Wave9_Lee Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Hi Gareth, I can try..! want to PM me your contact details and I'll give you a call. cheers Lee
