Hi

Has anyone else suffered this problem - on networked machines all working fine then a member of staff logs on does some work in office and tried to print and they get the message "No Printers installed :(" with the sad face!

Have tried many solutions office repair, removing office, reinstalling office, But the only thing that seems to cure it is a re-image which is a bit of an extreme for a missing printer issue! (also scanned using Sophos to ensure its not a virus etc . .)

We have a print server where all printers are installed that are shared out using classlink (11) running on server 2012 and we use a virtual print queue in paper cut. All machines are windows 7.

Anyone got any ideas?

We used to get the problem quite often with our normal IP printers. Some times it was simply because no printer was set as default.

once that was done and re-loaded the program it was fine.

Yes! We have had this on and off for quite a while. I have tried every suggestion that's out there, not matter how weird or funky, it always comes back.

It only affects Office, sometimes its cured by relaunching the app, sometimes by logging off and on again. Just can't get to the bottom of it.

I had this exact problem with HP Printers + PCL5 + PaperCut - I resolved it by changing the print driver to the PostScript universal printer driver from HP. Not seen the problem since.

+ I disabled "advanced print features" & "render print jobs on client computers" if haven't already
