Hello all,

have been asked to design or at least come up with ideas for a mobile worship/assembly unit.

our hall that we use for worship is used for the exam period so we use the gym as worship/assembly room on a temp basis.

we are looking for an all in one solution so a non tech can wheel the unit out and plug the power in and its ready to go.

my idea was a bit old school "tv on a stand" anyone done something similar?

we have roughly £2000 to spend

Cheers :)

Unicol are a decent brand. We use a Unicol ceiling mount to hang a rather expensive (and heavy) 50" screen from a steel gantry as part of our digital signage system.

Saying that, there are quite a few manufacturers of wheeled mounts out there these days. I had a demonstration of an electrically height-adjustable mount recently- wasn't cheap but it was very robust and worked well.

Unicol do one of them too, it's called a Powalift. It will cost you half your budget, but will also be the last thing left standing in the event of a nuclear bomb.

We have something very similar-looking to those powered Unicol stands that came with our new Promethian touch screens. They are very solid, and they do extend to a surprisingly decent height. The whole unit is quite heavy, though - you'll definatly need a smooth, flat surface to wheel them about on.

The Promethian boards come with OPS slots for a proper integrated PC, although we were supplied with Nucs instead. I don't know if you can get standard non-touch panels with OPS slots, but if so you could have a literally all-in-one unit with no separate PC to wander off or need sticking to a shelf.
