theres a company called Roche AV which will offer a 4 year warranty on lamps for any projector

I currently get ours from ActiveUK and have just bought a Hitachi one from them with a 3 year bulb replacement warranty.

At Bett the new Hitachi short throw projectors (the really short throw cool looking ones) came with three years unlimited bulb replacement all for £900!

you gotta remember the waranty will only be valid if you clean it every so often though....

and mostly run them in Eco mode, so you often find that you need, despite whats said, 2000 lumens ones as when you run them in Eco mode they become the magic 1500 we need in a school.

I have just bought a projector and smarttboard from http://www.smarteducation.co.uk and they gave a three year warranty on the NEC projector bulb.

 

By the way got a very good price for the package as well!

I think you will find the Epson EMP S5 and the EMP X5 is 4 year as long as you buy for ediucation the price is Just over £400 depending on Model, also only one filter to clean and instant off with very cheap lamps around £130

Infocus have now also started offering a bulb warranty, probably to catch up with the Epson and Hitachi models.

Epson are offering a 4 year warranty on the projector & lamp on the EMP83e & EMP400E (short throw) if purchased & registered before end July 2008.

 

The warranty is a de-install & re-install meaning their engineers take the projector down & put it back up again.

 

Both are network capable so they can be monitored on the network, turn them on/off remotely, check lamp, filter warning etc.
