KoolTech Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Morning, Anyone else giving Radio X a listen? Seems to be a nice mix of inide/rock music. SO pleased Chris Moyles is back as well Not everyone's cup of tea but I think hes brilliant. Going to make the mornings so much better! 1
CAM Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 It's XFM rebranded, a station I stopped listening to because of John Holmes in the morning and their poor signal. I swear they always get the duff and weakest transmitters in London. If they boost the signal strength, maybe I will give Moyes a listen! They'll be competing with a local DJ Christian O'Connell though.
IWDave Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Yep, tuned in this morning, currently r-listening to it on Listen Again via the app as I didn't get all of him during my travel into work via the train. Great to have him back!

I can't say I always liked his style but he always made me laugh. Shame I can't seem to get the station though :-(
hardtailstar Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Tried to listen online this morning, it kept dropping out.
Poults Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 They were having issues with not being able to cope with the demand from the app and online yesterday. Guess thats the problem with only having FM tranmitters in London and Manchester.

Bet they're rubbing their hands in glee though.
john Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I am loving Moyles being back on and I enjoy listening to him on my trip to work as well now I've found a couple of radio Apps for the Windows Phone. Monday the overload was huge so all internet failed on it but today was much better and great to see him back to his cheeky self which is why I loved his style of presenting.
Patrick Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Manged to get it on DAB in the car, but i lose signal completely when i drive into my town/village

Shame I can't seem to get the station though :-( It's on TuneIn if you fancied a listen, use it through your phone 3G connection that's what I do most of the time as the radio channels around here aren't worth listening too!
Homer Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Nah, don't like it. I've tried every morning this week now and I just can't get along with it. Used to listen to Moyles on Radio 1 before, but I've gone off him for some reason. He just loves his voice too much for my own liking... it doesn't help I was really happy with Jon Holmes on breakfast so I'm still quite irked about that however I have listened to it in the afternoons and I like it! But for now my drive to work is a silent one

But for now my drive to work is a silent one Admittedly I haven't tried this new show but it started to annoy me on the old show how he was getting all pally with these celebrities and he was always namedropping etc. 10-15 years ago he was completely different, he turned into the person he used to take the piss out of. He almost became a parody of himself.
SteveBentley Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Great show, crap app. Get a basic lightweight audio streaming app (I found one called Serve Stream on Android) and grab the stream URL from UK and Irish Radio Stations broadcasting on the Internet and the experience is much better - I can actually use other apps my phone while I listen without it breaking up, unlike with the official bloatware or Tune In. I've also heard a suggestion that switching to the Manchester stream works better as fewer people are using it. 1
