swiftysw1 Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Im re-waking the above subject.. I now have over 500 Apple ID's to create.. Shorley in the year 2015 there must be a CSV way...?? Thanks Si
Marshall_IT Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 If you could wait for ios 9 you won't need apple ids. You can assign apps to devices.
atfnet Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Hi Si, There is a script that automates the process of creating apple ID`s using a CSV https://github.com/aaronfreimark/Apple-ID-AppleScript. You will need to ring apple to get your IP and email domain white listed. I look forward to ios 9 in that case. Thanks Andy
swiftysw1 Posted August 4, 2015 Author Posted August 4, 2015 You serious about Apple id's? And not having to use them?
MrFrostmaul Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 You serious about Apple id's? And not having to use them? yeah, it one of the items almost everyone looking forward to
Marshall_IT Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 You serious about Apple id's? And not having to use them? VPP Assign to devices. You will be able to assign any VPP app to a device. This is a big and often requested feature. This means no Apple id is required. The app gets assigned to the device itself. Great for shared device scenarios. The MDM can then control the installation and update these apps without user intervention. Apple will provide a way to migrate existing VPP apps from user assignment to device assignment. http://www.amsys.co.uk/2015/06/new-management-features-ios-9-os-x-10-11/
Shadow_Walker Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Yes ios 9 is going to make it a lot easier. However at my current school our ipad and mac solution is coming in at the end of august and we needed apple ids creating for each department in preparation for the new term. That meant around 150 apple ids being created just to cover us.

Edu-IT Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 It didn't work for me when I tried it but I could have been doing it wrong.

biz Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Does this work? Yep, it works. I've used it for about 1300 Apple IDs now.
RLR Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Does this work? Yes we used this also. I think it needed slightly tweaking but we used it 2 weeks ago to create 200 apple id's. There is also another script on the same website which will automatically go through all the verification emails and verify the accounts for you - this does require all the emails to go to the same account. We did this by setting a regular expression on Google admin to catch the emails and forward them to a single email address. This also requires a MAC to do.
