SimonCygnetIT Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 I have heard rumors of another workstation patch coming to fix reporting in the Summer version of SIMS. Is this yet again another hint that we should all be moving to SOLUS 3 asap? Simon
Atomic_Zombie Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 Because if it's a workstation fix like the last ones it will need to be run manually on each workstation. SOLUS3 Deploys it automatically like any other patch/upgrade.
matt40k Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 Hahaha - So they don't do re-releases any more they do patches. Question tho, why didn't they call it SIMSClientUpdateSetup.exe, least then its, save in setups directory simaload will update as normal :S
sparkeh Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 Is this yet again another hint that we should all be moving to SOLUS 3 asap? You should be anyway
SimonCygnetIT Posted July 16, 2015 Author Posted July 16, 2015 Heh we are but we have multiple environments plus a lot of schools that we host data for so it's not a quick thing! My Summer project
Sylv3r Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 It arrived for us this morning too. The plan is to move to Summer 2015 over the weekend.
AJWhite1970 Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Out of interest, what's the latest you could delay installing the Summer 2015 release? Is it needed for the summer exam results processing or is the October census the first critical date? Only a theoretical question as we are rolling it out in a couple of weeks time Andrew
