eejy Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 One of our Governors has asked me to look in to digital signing in solutions on our reception desk. At the moment it's paper and pen but they would like something that staff and visitors could use to sign in, similar to say a doctors? We have access control on our ID cards provided by Easytrace so it would be useful to link in with that. I wondered if anyone used anything and could recommend from that? Thanks

It's cost us a price of an iPAD Mini, Wirless printer and about £15 per month for the use of the app. We were paying roughly £3k per year for the pre-printed bits of paper you tear off!

Chuckster Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 As school we recently implemented a signing-in system from InVentry Sign in Solutions for Education | InVentry We've had a few teething problems with it in the early stages but it's working as intended. You will notice, however, that the TEMP folder fills up rather quickly in a matter of a few days and you have to clear out the folder, otherwise the system becomes unresponsive. They will provide you with a Dell AIO machine with 120GB SSD. The support contract is approx. £3,000 for 3 years. The system itself was, I think, a shade over £2,000 - maybe less. Personally, it wasn't my decision to go with inVentry. I was impressed with the offerings from Osborne Technlogies EntrySign ? Digital visitor management system but the business manager preferred the former.

We've had it for about 4+ years I think now, so not sure what it costs now... I can put you in touch with a reseller that won't give you the hard-sell or pester you constantly if you're interested... There have been a lot of changes since it was first released, and they're constantly thinking of new features etc. so I'm happy to stick with inVentry for the foreseeable future, their support has been great too, quick to respond and resolve things. 2
