Tesla Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Hi all issue thats gone on for a while but been ignored, but i want to get to the bottom too. get this error appearing in eventvwr upon logon to any win 7 PC Failed to apply policy and redirect folder "Documents" to "\\***-***-001\***\***". Redirection options=0x80001211. The following error occurred: "Can not create folder "\\***-***-001\***\***"". Error details: "This security ID may not be assigned as the owner of this object. ". This also happens on creating a pictures folder. But others such as Downloads, favorites, etc are fine. Thanks

From my understanding: Redirect folders to a server path instead of a local one? If that's the case, you could just use GPO's rather than scripts? That's what they're designed for, after all!

Tesla Posted June 25, 2015 Author Posted June 25, 2015 It is done via GPO, User >policies > WIndows Setting >folder Redirection setting is basic %HOMESHARE%%HOMEPATH% but we get a fodler redirection error on event vwr as in OP
