Tesla Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 One of our backups has suddenly decided it wants to take 24 hours + to do a backup, it's being backed up to an external drive, ~400Gb of data (which isn't much/noticably higher than usual), it used to be completed by about 3-4 in the morning, so about 7 hours. Any ideas where to start with this? Thanks

mowgli82 Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 I would check the external disk first. could you copy the data off, and format then try the backup again?

Tesla Posted June 16, 2015 Author Posted June 16, 2015 (edited) running a check disk on our NAS through it's web interface now... the webinterface seemed really slow (not that i've gone on it before, was set up by someone else and it's been happy as larry) just as i wrote this, it said operation succesfully completed, only took 10 minutes....but there's no results page that i can see... the web interface seems much quicker now and it seems much quicker to access the drive through my computer and view its properties etc... check seems to have done the trick maybe...will run another backup tonight. DCUK6 Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Having the same issue, just as one finished another the next starts, Have set it to faster backup but it still tries to copy over all 1tb each night.

DCUK6 Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Got around to fixing this yesterday. If you just select certain folder in a drive then it doesnt do a fast backup. I cleaned out the drive so it would all fit, selected to backup the entire drive and its back to normal now.
